Find out more about the history of the Women in Technology World Series!

Founded in 2015 in London, The Women in Technology World Series has been the habitual stomping ground for the women in tech community to learn about the latest technology trends, grow their networks and elevate in their careers. Over the past six years, the series has enjoyed unprecedented success, expanding to several locations across the globe including San Francisco, Boston, Amsterdam and Dublin.

Michaela Jeffery-Morrison founded the series with the mission to create a global movement for change in tech. The series provides content that inspires and educates, helps form connections that last well-beyond the event dates and crafts experiences that shake the industry into action. The event’s core belief is that equal opportunity and representation within technology is essential to the balanced and inclusive development of the sector.

“As organisers, our goal is to create the world’s leading tech conferences for women, rather than just women in tech events. There is a subtle, but critical difference and this difference, along with our global perspective and years of experience, means we offer something very unique in the market,” says Michaela Jeffery-Morrison, CEO & Founder of the Women in Technology World Series.

Throughout the pandemic, the organisation has held a number of Online Festivals as an opportunity to keep the global community connected online at a time where women were more isolated than ever. From leading women in technology such as Bumble’s Founder and CEO, Whitney Wolfe Herd, to the Former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, whom Michaela personally interviewed; the series has welcomed an unrivalled line-up of industry leaders and disruptors.

In the wake of a new normal, the organisers are returning to hosting in-person, hybrid events in 2022. An essential element of our return to in-person experiences is the new launch event for Texas, to celebrate the growth of the tech sector in recent years. The Women in Technology World Series are incredibly excited to be bringing their market-leading offering to Houston. This event is an unmissable opportunity for the entire Texan women in tech ecosystem to gather in one place, to gain inspiration and to leverage practical insight to super-charge their career in the tech sector.

“Our collective experiences of the past year have allowed us all to realise the power of face-to-face interactions in creating real and valuable connections… Our theme for The Women in Tech World Series 2022 is Resilience; resilience in your career, resilience in business, resilience in the tech we are building and using, while making significant contributions to positive steps in the diversity and inclusion movement.”

Join 1,200+ pioneering women in tech at the inaugural Women in Tech Texas on 19th and 20th May to celebrate the power of resilience.

This is the only women in tech conference where people connect, ideas are shared and the future is made!
